MANILA: The Mercedes-AMG GT Track Series is the most powerful customer sports car Mercedes-AMG has ever created, and it was designed specifically for track day events. It is limited to 55 units and serves as a tribute to AMG founders Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher and their concept of making the best even better. The outcome is a pristine, exclusive performance car that is a one-of-a-kind reflection of the craft of Mercedes-AMG's automotive constructors.

The Mercedes-AMG GT Track Series is priced at €369,000.The Mercedes-AMG GT Track Series adds a new legendary model to the GT legacy. The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, a famed top performer, served as the inspiration for the development. The GT Track Series, like the GT Black Series, is distinguished by its one-of-a-kind vehicle concept targeted at peak performance, paired with the racetrack-proven features of the GT3 and GT4 vehicles. Ineligible for road usage approval, it emphasizes its high exclusivity with a variety of special technological and visual elements.
The GT Track Series is powered by the Handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine that generates 778hp and 627lb-ft.
The power is transferred to the rear axle through the sequential Hewland HLS six-speed racing gearbox with adjustable differential. It has been fitted on the rear axle in transaxle form, as in all GT models, and has a torsion and torque resistant connection to the engine via a carbon fiber torque tube. The GT Track Series' suspension incorporates four-way Bilstein dampers that are fully adjustable. They each have a high-speed and low-speed setting in the rebound and compression levels, as well as ride height adjustments, as is usual in motorsport. The anti-roll bars can also be adjusted separately.
The GT Track Series' design and aerodynamics adhere to the performance philosophy. The carbon fiber hood, fenders, side sills, trunk lid, and rear bumper all contribute to the car's excellent driving characteristics. Another significant benefit of the material mix is a reduction in the vehicle's curb weight to 3,086lb.
The AMG radiator grille, which provides optimal air flow to the radiator, is featured on the front of the exclusive model. The GT Track Series' high-downforce front splitter was designed specifically for it. A reworked, mechanically adjustable racing rear wing modeled on the aero element of the GT Black Series completes the package. It was further refined to increase rear-axle downforce.
Another unique feature equipped on the GT Track Series is the high-sheen machined and forged 18-inch wheels, the standard wheel rim size for GT race cars. All standard competition tire types can be used.
The exclusive semi-gloss special finish in Manufaktur Cirrus Silver Magno with design elements in red and anthracite is another visual highlight. Another feature that highlights the GT model's exclusivity is the inclusion of the AMG logo in the top portion of the front fascia.
The GT Track Series, like the GT3 and GT4, features user-friendly electronics. It comes with a racing-specific traction control system and a motorsport ABS, both of which are configurable on a 12-level scale.
The brake components are also motorsport-proven. Steel brakes are standard on the GT Track Series. A brake beam has been added for adjustment of the brake balance. The dimensionally robust brake air lines and carbon brake air ducts ensure effective cooling of the performance brake system during the process.
The safety concept, which has been established in the GT family, has been implemented in the interior: a high-tensile steel roll cage is attached to the aluminum space frame, and an extrication hatch has been installed in the roof. The carbon driver safety cell is quite big, allowing even taller drivers to maneuver around comfortably. It also has a five-point safety harness and an ergonomic seat that can be customized. As a result, the driver safety cell complies with the most recent FIA criteria and provides far more protection than normal race seats. The GT Track Series' comprehensive safety concept is complemented with a robust motorsport fire extinguisher system and driver safety nets.
The steering wheel, which was created particularly for the GT Track Series in collaboration with Cube Controls' sim racing specialists, offers a large adjustment range and multiple control options. The pedals can also be modified and adjusted to the driver's specific needs. A configurable Bosch DDU 11 Driver Display Unit, designed for easy operation and user-friendliness, is included in the dashboard with visible carbon and a matte finish. It also includes a sophisticated data logging system for motorsport, including a lap trigger for keeping track of lap times. The GT Track Series is one of the first cars to use the newly developed system.
Every Mercedes-AMG GT Track Series unit is identified as an exclusive item from the special edition by a high-quality embossed "1 of 55" inscription in the interior. The "Track Series" embroidery on the driver's seat and limited car cover also allude to the GT Track Series' exclusivity.
Worldwide sales of GT Track Series is handled from Affalterbach, Germany where Mercedes-AMG is based. Deliveries to customers will begin in the second quarter of 2022. The Mercedes-AMG GT Track Series is priced at €369,000. Options include a starter set of spare parts, a seat and helmet ventilation system, a drinking system, and a passenger safety cell.
