PH bet secures slot in Toyota GR GT Cup 2023 global finals

One of the three participants that don the Philippine colors at the Toyota Gazoo Racing Gran Turismo (TGR GT) Cup Asia 2023 has secured his spot at the global finals after securing a spot in the podium of the regional leg of the online race.

During this year’s TGR GT Cup Asia regional finals, seasoned sim racer Luis Moreno placed second overall after scoring a total of 52 points. The total points were collected he crossed the checkered flag at the following positions:

• Race 1: Sixth place (13 points)
• Race 2: Fourth place (13 points)
• Race 3: Third (23 points)

To note, Moreno was trailing Indonesian first placer Andika Rama, who scored 65 points. They will both represent Asia and compete in the TGR GT Global Finals scheduled for November.

Meanwhile, Russel Reyes had a total of 15 points and placed 12th in the series, and Matthew Ang had eight points and finished 15th.

“Job well done, Team Philippines! Cheers to Russel Reyes and Matthew Ang for driving their best ‘till the last lap. Congratulations to Luis Moreno for winning second place at the #TGRGTCupAsia2023 and qualifying for the Global Finals,” Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines said in a Facebook post.
