MANILA: The Jaecoo J7 SHS (Super Hybrid System) can cover nearly 1,500 kilometers (km) of road in the Philippines.

    The company noted that the results showed that the models under Chery’s subsidiary even surpassed its own global claimed range that is 1,200 kilometers.

    Test parameters

    The four-day efficiency run involved two Jaecoo J7 units that ran with a juiced-up battery and a full tank of fuel.

    Other parameters of the test include:

    • Models to maintain speeds of 80-100 kilometers per hour (kph) on highways 
    • Reach speeds of 40-60 kph on city and provincial roads

    Throughout the efficiency activity, the J7 SHS consumed an average fuel consumption of 24.4 kilometers per liter. By the end of the test, the vehicles had remaining ranges of 44 km and 24 km.
