Philippines Auto Industry Sales Report: January 2016
MANILA: The Chamber Of Automotive Manufacturer of the Philippines every month comes out with a sales analyses of the automobile industry. The released data is highly reliable and informative, giving an exact picture about the car selling scenario in the nation. So, as expected, CAMPI is out with January 2016 car sales report and we are here to analyse it and forecast what the future hold for the auto industry 2016.
As per CAMPI January report and long lasted legacy of the Philippines auto sector, things like always remain constant. Toyota is leading the charts like always, giving zero space to others to even have a sneak peak at the No. 1 position. Next after Toyota is, Mitsubishi that has also showcased outstanding performance over the years. And now Mitsubishi with its new stud, Montero Sport is further hoping to multiply its sales figures. The said car will go against the soon be to launch Toyota Fortuner, whose variant wise price figures are now out. So let's see which one of the two will gain the most in the months to come.
Coming back to the ranking, Ford Motor Philippines occupied the third position in the sales chart. With its leading players being Ford Everest, Ford EcoSport and Ford Ranger. Next two slots are occupied by Isuzu and Honda. Both of which came up with some exciting offers in 2016, named as 25th year special and Perfect Pair respectively.

If we look at the year over year scenario, a marginal improvement is well noticed. In January 2016, 8623 units of passenger cars were sold overs 7200 units in same period last year. In this 8623 units are included 3542 units of AUV, 9678 units of SUV and other units are covered under commercial vehicles segment like heavy duty and light duty trucks and buses.
To sum up the entire 2016 sales report, Philippines auto industry is growing and is expected to reach higher heights in 2016. Further, with 2016 Manila International Auto Show just around the corner where many automakers are scheduled to launch and display their latest creations. Allowing us to expect auto sales figures to take a long leap over the past data.
