MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) has selected Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation (PSPC) as fuel provider for TMP's imported vehicles being stored in its Batangas Vehicle Center (BVC).

The BVC can hold 160,000 vehicles, which will be distributed to over 70 Toyota dealerships in the country.The 32-hectare BVC is located six kilometers away from the Port of Batangas, making it faster for TMP to receive imported vehicles from international vessels. The facility features a pre-delivery inspection and post-production installation sites.
Annually, the BVC can accommodate 160,000 vehicle units with a stockyard that can hold 4,500 units at a time. BVC uses RFID-tagging technology in an integrated management system for real-time vehicle tracking.
Aside from storage, the Vehicle Center can ensure quality and timely delivery to over 70 Toyota dealers across the country.
Pilipinas Shell has facilitated the construction of a pump and tank service in TMP’s new facility, which will supply its fuel requirement for the next three years.
According to PSPC Vice President and General Manager for Mobility Randy Del Valle, both PSPC and Toyota share the same vision for sustainable mobility.
“Global companies like Shell and Toyota play a huge role in driving sustainability in the way they operate. TMP included sustainability features in the Batangas Vehicle Center, and Shell shares this commitment to reduce carbon footprint by integrating sustainability features in our retail network," he said.
