PNP Food Bank Project gets boost from Chery PH
MANILA: The United Asia Auto Group Inc. (UAAGI), official distributor of Chery Auto Philippines, recently donated canned goods, sacks of rice, and other food items to the Philippine National Police (PNP). This is part of the “Rektang Bayanihan” Food Bank Project of PNP for the poorest of the poor who are living in rural areas and have been particularly affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The handing over of food items was done at the PNP's Camp Olivas in Pampanga, where PNP Region III Director Gen. Rhodel Sermonia accommodated the representatives from Chery Auto Philippines.
The Chery Auto brand is gradually penetrating the Philippine market with a range of contemporary crossovers such as the midsize seven-seater Tiggo 8, the compact Tiggo 7, and the subcompact Tiggo 2 and Tiggo 5X. All of these vehicles boast automatic transmission (with MT available on the Tiggo 5X and Tiggo 2) and 1.5-liter DOHC 16-valve EFI VVT engines (turbocharged for the Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 7).
Since the beginning of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) that the government has implemented to help contain the spread of the coronavirus, Chery Auto Philippines has been committed to providing support to the PNP Food Bank Project.
For its customers, the auto brand also offers bank-approved financing packages with zero monthly amortizations and zero down payments, especially to customers who want to ensure convenient mobility during these trying times.
