Porsche 99X Electric features new exclusive livery at Seoul E-Prix

MANILA: The two Porsche 99X Electric race cars sported a special livery design at the Seoul E-Prix held on August 13 to 14.

The livery design was created exclusively for the final round of this season’s ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The body of the electric race car matches the colors of the TAG Heuer Connected Caliber E4 - Porsche Edition, the first joint smartwatch of Porsche and TAG Heuer which was unveiled in Seoul on Thursday.

Porsche and TAG Heuer have been in partnership since 2014.

“Porsche and TAG Heuer celebrate two world premieres in Seoul. One is the new Connected Watch, which was developed as a joint project, and the other is the first Formula E race in South Korea. To commemorate these great events, we decided to campaign our two Porsche 99X Electric racers at the season finale with a special livery design that represents the new watch. A big thanks to Formula E and FIA – without their support none of this would have been possible,” Porsche Team Management and Business Relations Director Carlo Wiggers stated.

The cool color combination of the luxury smartwatch was inspired by the frozen blue version of the Porsche Taycan. The graphic elements highlight the pit boards, speed and progress, and symbolize the lights of the South Korean capital.

Andre Lotterer and Pascal Wehrlein piloted the two Porsche 99X Electric race cars at Seoul E-Prix last weekend.
