The participation in the UN Global Compact clearly underlines our aspiration to reconcile business activity with ecological considerations and fair working conditions,” Porsche AG Executive Board for Procurement Member Barbara Frenkel stated.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other UN goals are supported by the UN Global Compact, calling on companies to align their operations and strategy with 10 generally recognized principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption. Porsche will regularly update the UN Global Compact and the general public on its efforts in these areas.
The UN Global Compact, which was established in 2000, has more than 15,000 corporate and 3,000 non-business signatories operating in more than 160 countries, making it the largest corporate sustainability program in the world.
