MANILA: Porsche was hailed as this year’s leading premium carmaker in the latest J.D. Power USA Automotive Brand Loyalty Study — receiving the said award for the third consecutive year.

The study covers transaction data at franchised new-vehicle dealers in the United States from September 2023 to August 2024.In a statement, the Stuttgart-headquartered automotive manufacturer shared that such an achievement underscores its “continued commitment to delivering vehicles that provide unmatched quality and satisfaction, ensuring that Porsche owners return to the brand time and again.”
According to Porsche Cars North America President and Chief Executive Officer Timo Resch, customer loyalty is at the Porsche brand’s core.
“Every one of us, from our independently owned and operated Porsche Centers across America to our headquarters here in Atlanta, is committed to creating a world-class experience from start to finish. We are grateful to deliver such a meaningful experience that is a result of our team’s daily efforts,” he added.
How brands are analyzed
Now in its sixth year, the study uses data from the Power Information Network (PIN) to determine customer loyalty.
To ensure data accuracy, PIN only considers transactions at franchised new-vehicle dealers. The findings for this year’s study are based on transaction data from September 2023 to August 2024 — making the insights timely and relevant to current market trends.
Conducted by the global leader in customer insights, the aforementioned analysis measures customer loyalty by examining whether an owner purchased the same brand after trading in their existing vehicle.
To note, the JD Power US Automotive Brand Loyalty Study gauges client behavior by evaluating whether owners stick with the same brand when purchasing their next vehicle — considering numerous factors such as overall satisfaction, brand trust, and customer experience throughout the ownership cycle.
