Refreshed 2023 Honda Brio unveiled in Indonesia, PH next?

MANILA: The redesigned 2023 Honda Brio was unveiled in Jakarta by PT Honda Prospect Motor, a branch of the Japanese automaker in Indonesia. 

Midway through 2018, the Honda Brio had its world debut, and it arrived in the Philippines in 2019. Since then, the chassis remains unchanged, but for the 2023 model year, the car has undergone sufficient alterations to set it apart from earlier models.

The 2023 Honda Brio, the "most popular model in Indonesia," according to the automaker, is now debuting with a more athletic and stylish design and more comprehensive amenities. This is accomplished by “preserving the performance of the largest engine in its class, the Fun to Drive character, and the value for money price.”

The mini subcompact hatchback comes in standard Brio Satya and top-of-the-line Brio RS variants.

With its sharper exterior and the addition of numerous new amenities, the revised Honda Brio RS now seems to stick out even more. LED headlights, daytime running lights and fog lights, dark chrome front grille design with RS Emblem, power retractable black door mirror with LED turning signals, front bumper design, smoked rear combination lamp, rear bumper design with diffuser, 15-inch Dark Chrome Sporty Alloy Wheels, and New Smart Entry System are some of the exterior changes made to the Honda Brio RS.

Inside, the Honda Brio RS now features a number of interior upgrades that make traveling simpler, more enjoyable, and comfortable. These upgrades include a sporty dashboard panel pattern, a push-start ignition system, a multi-information LCD display in the instrument cluster, and a seven-inch advanced capacitive touchscreen audio display.

The 2023 Honda Brio Satya MT and CVT now have a more appealing and fashionable appearance to go along with daily activities. These variations may be identified by their LED headlights, revised chrome grille, two-tone 14-inch alloy wheels, and bigger airdam from the Brio RS. The interior of the 2023 Honda Brio Satya now features a New Auto Up/Down Window with Anti-Pinch, a new interior color, a new seat pattern design, a new dashboard and door lining mixed with gray on the roof lining.

New tones join the color palette. They are Crystal Black, Meteorized Grey Metallic, and Electric Lime Metallic. Taffeta White and Rally Red are only available in Brio, whereas Phoenix Orange Pearl (two-tone) and Stellar Diamond Pearl are only available in Brio RS.

 

The rest of the vehicle remains untouched. The 1.2-liter, four-cylinder i-VTEC engine continues to power it. With 89 hp and 110 Nm of torque, it is still the most potent option in its class. The five-speed manual or CVT remain the only available transmission options.
