Rolls-Royce provides work placements to students through ‘Dare to Dream’
MANILA: Rolls-Royce Motor Cars participates in the “Dare to Dream" program, which provides career opportunities and workplace experiences to young people and help them fulfill their potential.
The program gives students an opportunity to work alongside expert engineers and technicians from the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, England.
In a statement, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Human Resources Director Mark Adams said, "We are delighted to support Dare to Dream, a fantastic initiative that aims to transform how young people perceive themselves and give them the mindset, techniques and resilience to thrive in the world of work. As a company, we have always recognized the fundamental importance of supporting, encouraging and nurturing young people: their skills, talents and personal qualities will shape organizations and the wider economy in the years ahead. We see it as a great privilege to have this opportunity to inspire greatness in them as they set out on their life's journey.”
The Dare to Dream program was established by the LoveLocalJobs Foundation, a community interest company (CIC) that brings together schools and leading employers in England to give students vital life skills that will prepare them for their future careers. The program is based around themes of self-awareness, mindset, gratitude, resilience, teamwork, and employability.
Dare to Dream Program Lead Jack "The Lad" Hayes brings his experience of struggling in school and finding his own direction in life to his role in the program. Hayes became popular for his hosting stint at the Heart Sussex breakfast show for over 15 years.
Rolls-Royce is also a part of other LoveLocalJobs programs, including "Be The Change." This is part of the brand's long-term commitment to provide opportunities and develop the skills of the students in England. In 2020, the company welcomed 18 newcomers onto its Apprenticeship Program despite the COVID-19 pandemic. It also recognized a record number of Degree Apprenticeship candidates. Rolls-Royce also provides work placements for over 100 university students annually and offers a highly regarded graduate program.
