San Pedro cooperative gets 20 Foton F-Jeepney F29 units

MANILA: In line with its quest to deliver an excellent commuting experience to the public, the San Pedro Transport Cooperative (SPTC), with support from San Pedro Mayor Lourdes Cataquiz, boosted public transportation in the community with the modern mobility capacities of the Foton F-Jeepney F29.

San Pedro City, Laguna Mayor Lourdes Cataquiz said, “Ang public transportation dito sa City of San Pedro, kayang-kaya sa Foton (Public transportation here in the City of San Pedro is made easier thanks to Foton).”

SPTC took delivery of F-Jeepney F29 units, having chosen the model for its expansive and broad body, enabling greater convenience and comfort for the commuters of San Pedro. 

Foton GMA Cavite/Zoomhub Inc., led its President Willy Q. Tee Ten, handed over a total of 20 units to SPTC officials, witnessed by Mayor Cataquiz. 

Mayor Cataquiz explained, "Foton is one of the leading brands of modern jeepneys in the City of San Pedro. It can (comfortably) accommodate passengers and the emission standard that it uses helps in maintaining a clean environment. That is why we are expecting that it can also help San Pedro, along with its transport cooperative, to achieve progress.”

The Foton F-Jeepney F-29 complies with the Philippine National Standard (PNS) 2126-2017 and it is powered by a 3.8-liter ISF Cummins turbocharged diesel engine matched to a six-speed manual transmission.

It can seat up to 29 commuters within its large cabin that boasts of a powerful air-conditioning system and comfortable seating. It also prioritizes safety in each trip through its convenient-to-grip hand rails that can be seen throughout its interior.

The Foton F-Jeepney F29 utilizes modern technology to provide upgraded entertainment even on the road. It features multiple speakers and a massive LED monitor for a relaxed commuting experience.

The F-Jeepney guarantees the security of its driver and passengers with its series of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras. GPS trackers are mounted in each unit of the F-Jeepney F29 for increased security. WiFi connectivity is also present for commuters who are looking for additional infotainment while traveling to their destination.

The Foton F-Jeepney comes in 11- and 24-passenger variants and it can be availed in all Foton dealer centers across the country.
