Scale model of Mitsubishi Lancer Boxtype coming soon
MANILA: Aoshima, the Japanese plastic model kits developer and manufacturer recently announced that they would soon be releasing the Mitsubishi Lancer Boxtype 1/24 scale model. It is for the first time the manufactures would be working on the iconic 80’s car that was a household name in the Philippines back in those days. And we are pretty sure that many Filipinos have driven the car and some even drive it today.
Talking about the scale model in question, it would be built around the '84 Rally Version of the car complete with fog lights, roll cage, and even bucket seats. It’ll even come with stickers and Advan livery replicating the original model.
One good thing about the scale models from Aoshima is that the builder is not required to follow in every step. They can choose to ignore the parts and go with the way they want. Further, the builder can drop by a local hobby store and choose a different set of wheels to go with the model. With endless modifications, the builder can create what they want and need not restrict themselves to the rules.
The said model kit would be released in June 2019 and is jointly built with Beemax, the Macao model maker. The 1/24 scale model of Lancer Boxtype is expected to carry a price tag of JPY 4200, that is around Php 1,960.
