Seaoil conducts biweekly COVID-19 rapid testing for service frontliners
MANILA: Independent fuel company Seaoil has provided COVID-19 rapid testing for its service frontliners of company-run stations within the red zones of Rizal and the National Capital Region (NCR). This is part of the oil company’s #FuelPHtoRecovery initiative.
Seaoil CEO Glenn Yu said that the company values the safety and health of its workers. He also added that the regular testing of frontliners will aid in the continuous service to their valued customers.
In a report, Seaoil also noted that COVID-19 testing serves as an additional layer of protection aside from the enriched station safety measures and personal protective equipment (PPE) that are being implemented and used during the new normal.
Seaoil aims for the completion of the first run of rapid testing by the end of July 2020. The rapid COVID-19 testing of station frontliners will be done on a biweekly basis until the availability of a vaccine is confirmed.
The fuel company has also begun the transition to contactless payment schemes through partnerships with PayMaya, GCash, and PriceLOCQ, an innovative mobile application that enables customers to purchase fuel in advance, given the relatively low costs.
More than 1,200 station frontliners in the red zones nationwide are also scheduled for rapid testing. Seaoil will be designating medical teams to numerous testing centers for proper administering of the tests.
