During the brand launch over the weekend, the company has unveiled its initial lineup made up of the Seres 7 and the 5 series.
Seres 7 specs
Considered as the brand’s flagship offering, the Seres 7 is a large sport utility vehicle that is 5,020 millimeters (mm) long; 1,945 mm wide; and 1,760 mm tall — assuring a commanding presence on the road as well as roomy cabin.
Inside, it comes with zero gravity seats and full back massage chairs.
Among its safety features include submarine-grade hot formed steel body structure and aviation-grade insulation.
Seres 5 specs
Meanwhile, the Seres 5 will be offered locally in full electric and range extended electric versions (REEV). The former is 4,785 mm long; 1,930 mm wide; and 1,620 mm tall while the latter is shorter by 15mm but is 5 mm higher.
While both tailored with fluid body lines and arches complemented by hidden door handles and wing-shape taillights, the major aesthetic difference between them is the front fascia — with the REEV sporting horizontal vents for its grille and the base trim having none.
Further, the fully electric Seres 5 will be retailed in the country with a special-edition called the Saker Falcon — expected to be the badge’s more agile version.
Slightly deviating from the base variant, the aforementioned trim is 75 mm smaller and has the following distinct characteristics:
- Falcon wing headlamps
- Swift Flying design body line
- Flight dive side window
- 20-inch wheels and red calipers
More details about the vehicles — as well as their respective prices — will be revealed as soon as the company officially commences its retail operations in the country.
Established in 1986, Seres Auto is one of China’s top 500 enterprises and has built its reputation on advanced e-powertrain technologies, including battery systems, electric drives, and electric controls.
