Sport mode: Mercedes-Benz presents A 180 AMG

MANILA: The Mercedes-Benz A-Class is redefining the latest generation of its compact cars with heightened levels of sophistication and innovative technology.

The Mercedes-Benz A 180 AMG sedan line flaunts the sporty nature of the A-Class in AMG form. This involves the AMG body style that features the AMG front apron with chrome front splitter, AMG rear apron with noticeable exhaust tailpipes and chrome trim, and AMG side sill panels.

The diamond radiator grille is polished with a single silver-painted louver and chrome pins. Furthermore, the aerodynamically optimized 18-inch AMG five-twin spoke alloy wheels make a powerful appeal. The front brake calipers flaunt the Mercedes-Benz logo, as it has line trim trips and a chrome-plated beltline.

The interior features an advanced cutting-edge three-spoke multifunction steering wheel in Nappa leather with touch control buttons, perforated grip area, and flattened bottom section.

The AMG line also includes the Dinamica microfiber upholstery with door linings and Artico human-made leather.

For additional comfort, the A 180 AMG Line is also fitted with folding seat backrests at the rear, comfort rear suspensions, and head restraints for the front passenger and driver.

Instead of the conventional instrument binnacle, the A 180 Sedan AMG line includes a seven-inch touchscreen virtual display for the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system. The MBUX is an entirely new approach in interacting dynamically with the vehicle.

It can also operate Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and also has the capability of Waze Mirroring. The vehicle can also learn the preferences, favorite radio stations, and frequent destinations of the driver to ensure that it is always prepared for the road.

The Mercedes A 180 Sedan AMG line also features the "Light and Sight" package, which gives maximum visibility and additional interior value in the vehicle. It consists of ambient lighting and operational comfort-and-safety-enhancing light that enables the interior to have more vibe and appeal.

Through the attention assist safety feature, the vehicle can identify when drowsiness occurs according to the steering behavior of the driver. This feature also notifies the driver if there is forthcoming microsleep.

Moreover, it alerts the driver of a possible collision and also supports anyone when making sudden actions such as braking. It also allows the vehicle to reach a standstill through the active brake assist feature.

The Mercedes A 180 Sedan AMG is priced P2.79 million.
