Stellantis to highlight transition to sustainable tech mobility firm in CES 2022

MANILA: The global effort of Stellantis to provide cutting-edge technologies and customer-centric solutions that power the future of its 14 renowned brands is driven by technology. Its capabilities in advanced electrification in cabin technology, autonomy, and connectivity will be exhibited at CES 2022, the world’s premiere technology event that will be held on January 5 to 8, 2022 in Nevada, USA.

Visitors of CES 2022 will be able to see key vehicles and advanced technologies from the group's global portfolio, which will serve as concrete markers on the company’s quest to reinvent and reshape the future of mobility.

In a statement, Stellantis Chief Executive Officer Carlos Tavares said, “Vehicles are an integral part of people’s digital lives and the future of mobility is fueled by technology. Electrification, with our 30 electrified models available including fuel cell vans, connectivity and autonomy, are all important facets of that future but each cannot stand alone. Our creativity, engineering and innovative partnerships are accelerating our drive to build the best and most sustainable mobility for our customers.”

The following will be displayed at the Stellantis stand at CES 2022:

Chrsyler Airflow

The Airflow Concept is the first step in Chrysler’s transition to clean mobility and seamlessly connected customer experiences.

Citroën Skate Mobility Concept

The Citroën Skate Mobility Concept is an autonomous, electric transport robot that travels around cities, partnered with "pods" to provide dynamic, shared, and innovative urban mobility.

Citroën Ami

The Citroen Ami is an ultra-compact, two-passenger urban electric vehicle (EV). Users as young as 14 can use the Ami in France, with “a la carte” offerings that target specific uses, a fully online trip, new distribution methods, an a three-hour charging period.

DS E-Tense FE21

The 1,984-pound car uses a 900V system with a 52kWh battery to power a 338hp electric motor, making it the two-time defending champion in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The vehicle can accelerate from a standstill to 60mph in about 2.8 seconds, thanks to its lightweight construction and electric torque.

New Fiat 500

The Fiat 500 is the brand’s flagship, representing social relevance and sustainability. The compact EV is the most popular Fiat and the embodiment of the Italian car: a stunning and classic artwork. The new 500 is connected, has a range of up to 199 miles, has an 85kW fast charge, and is the first city car to be equipped with Assisted Driving Level 2.

Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer

The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are premium American Icons that have been revived as the new benchmark for refinement, authenticity, and mobility. The Jeep brand’s premium extension delivers legendary 4x4 prowess, on-road finesse, a design that embodies American craftsmanship and heritage, and a slew of cutting-edge technologies including built-in Fire TV and a front passenger screen experience.

Jeep Wrangler 4xe

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe is the most capable, technologically advanced, and environmentally friendly Wrangler to date. Its plug-in hybrid powertrain is capable of up to 21 miles of nearly silent, zero-emission electric-only driving. It is available in Europe, China, and the United States.

Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe

The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is the first plug-in hybrid electric Grand Cherokee. Its launch underlines the brand’s commitment to achieving “Zero-Emission Freedom” by 2021, when it will offer a fully electric Jeep model in every SUV segment. With 375hp and 470lb-ft of torque, the Grand Cherokee 4xe targets an estimated 25-mile all-electric range and 57 MPGe. It is comes with the award-winning Uconnect 5, which features a 10.1-inch display, five-times faster operating performance, and over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Last July, Stellantis revealed that it would invest over €30 billion in electrification and software through 2025 to achieve its ambitious transformation.
