Suzuki Celerio to receive ABS and Airbags as Option on All Trims

MANILA: Suzuki is working on the addition of optional ABS and dual front airbags on all variants of the Celerio including both entry and mid-level trims. The optional Safety package will be offered to all the variants such as Petrol manual, Petrol AMT and diesel manual. The CNG variant and the green variants are also likely to receive the optional safety pack.

The addition of this safety pack is expected to be carried out on all the Suzuki cars in the near future. However, Celerio has always been a preferred car to introduce company’s latest technologies which includes the AMT and first 793 cc two-cylinder turbodiesel power pack. Now, possibly it is going to come with optional safety package. However, the SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle) feature will only be introduced on Ciaz sedan.

Celerio replaced the models like Suzuki A-star and offered in variants; LXi, VXi and ZXi. It also became the first hatchback model that comes mated with AMT transmission. The new variants of Celerio petrol manual and AMT will be named as LXi (O) and VXi (O). The new top-end variant in its lineup will be the AMT version to be known as new ZXi (O) trim. The diesel variant is likely to get new LDi (O) and VDi (O) trim.

According to recent test reports, the company has performed poor in NCAP tests. So, it is trying to introduce safety package and project an image of safety conscious brand. However, the safety package is meant to provide all-round safety to the owners of Celerio.
