Suzuki PH implements SMART measures for reopening of dealerships
MANILA: After a month-long temporary suspension of dealership operations, Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPH) has announced measures it has undertaken to ensure the health and safety of customers and employees in its Dealership Reopening Guidelines.
The “new normal” business operations of SPH will involve a set of to-dos. They have also made an acronym for people to remember such measures easily — SMART (which stands for Sanitize Thoroughly, Maintain Safe Distancing, Adhere Strictly, Reach People Online, and Think Positive). Customers who will be visiting SPH dealerships must comply with these guidelines.
Under SMART, employees should disinfect store areas at least every two hours, especially customer lounges and workplaces. Sanitation stations will be made available for areas like cashier windows, service areas, transaction tables, and the reception area. All display units should also be disinfected. Vehicles need to be sanitized before and after its release for test drive and upon arrival from their specific distributor.
Maintain Safe Distancing involves a reduced number of vehicles displayed in showrooms. Meeting attendees for every transaction will also be lessened to prevent overcrowding on transaction areas.
Employees' body temperature will be checked, and their masks should be worn daily. As for customers, the delivery of completely disinfected vehicles to their homes is highly recommended. If they prefer to pick up their cars, customers are urged to come alone for the turnover.
Reaching People Online involves the availability of all transactions through the SPH official website. This measure also includes online test drive applications and requests, scheduling of appointments, sufficient and practical information dissemination, and reduction of face-to-face interactions, which will be advantageous for both customers and employees.
Seventeen out of the 79 SPH dealerships have resumed operations since May 4. These dealerships are Tacloban, Roxas, Palawan, Ozamiz, Ormoc, Naga, La Union, Kalibo, Isabela, Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, SM General Santos, General Santos, Dumaguete, Calbayog, Cagayan De Oro, and Bohol.
Although the aforementioned communities where SPH dealerships have reopened already shifted to general community quarantine (GCQ) from enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), SPH continues to elevate its level of safety for its customers and workers through the SMART measures.
Furthermore, Suzuki Philippines encourages everyone to practice social and physical distancing, promote positivity, exercise regularly, and maintain good health and well-being during these trying times.
