Suzuki Swift Sport Spotted Heavily Camouflaged During Test Run

MANILA: After experiencing a whooping 37 percent hike in the mid-year sales, Suzuki Philippines is still celebrating. While announcing its sales data, the company mentioned that Ertiga, Swift, and Ciaz contributed to the best to make them touch such great heights. Surely with these 3 bestsellers in its fleet, Suzuki is feeling tall and proud and to ensure that the customers are even more satisfied with the style and comfort, this Japanese company announced the latest version of Suzuki Swift in March 2016. The official design images of 2016 Swift were leaked in March 2016 and since then speculations were trolling in the automotive market about its style and specs updations. The latest news from Suzuki is that the brand is found testing its heavily camouflaged next-gen Swift Sport just ahead of the Paris Motor Show.

The new Swift Sport is announced to make its debut at the renowned Paris Motor Show and with this camouflaged look and weather testing, the prototype looks absolutely perfect to be presented in front of the visitors and the auto critics. Talking about the engine first, the new Swift is expected to be powered by a 1.0-litre turbo or a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated power unit while the new Swift Sport may arrive with a 1.4-litre Boosterjet engine to knock out more power as desired by the customers from the 'Sport' variant. This 1.4-litre engine may be the same as plotted under the hood of the new Vitara S Crossover.

Though, as aforementioned, this new version was under heavy disguise, but then a couple of hints, trends and speculations are good enough for the auto experts to decode the style updations. The new Swift drive looks more aggressive and angular with revamped headlamps, bigger air intakes and wider wheels in comparison to the existing model. Also, the dual exhaust pipes, tail-mounted spoiler and deeper chin spoiler were clearly visible during the test run. Along with these features, the one feature which certainly grabbed the attention of the auto critics but not surprised them was the hidden door handle for the rear doors. This feature was clearly visible in the leaked pictures of new Swift and so expected to be there in the production model.

At this stage, with this disguised appearance, the cabin details can't be declared but surely speculated. The interior trim of the new version of Swift is expected to have all the basic amenities like air conditioning facility, a decent 2-DIN audio unit along with premium fabric wrapping/covering around the seats. If the manufacturer is allowing anything more than these features to add more to the comfort, it would probably be out during the Paris Motor Show 2016 only. We would like to remind you that the said auto show is taking off on 1st October. To last till 16th October 2016, the Paris Motor Show will be the hub for all the renowned automakers across the world.
