The A90 Toyota Supra roars at Fuji Speedway

MANILA: Leaks, spy shots, teasers, and the A90 Supra, what a love story it has developed to be. Quite amazing, haa? There has been a truckload of news stories, teasers, and spy-images of the sports car floating on the internet from quite some time now. However, the fun might just end and the love story too. But shall we get excited or feel sad for all this fun coming to an end? We’ll choose the former.

Toyota has released a 31 seconds long video showcasing the A90 Supra raring at the Fuji Speedway. What better place to shoot than in the lap of Mount Fuji, right? Shot in the darkness of the night, the video itself is dark and nothing apart from the headlights of the A90 Supra are visible. At the end of the video, Toyota says “Supra is Back” and reveals the official date of the unveiling as well. It will be 14th of January, 2019 when the sports car will make its way to the podium at the 2019 North American International Auto Show.

We also get to hear a faint sound of the A90 Supra engine which is roaring out there. We bet it’s going to sound amazing just by the little we have got to taste. The design language of the new Supra takes some strong cues from the FT-1 Concept and the mechanicals are shared with the BMW Z4, which is the cousin of the A90 Supra. The sports car from Toyota will be featuring the same chassis, engine, and transmission as the BMW Z4, albeit with different tunings. So, here we are, less than two weeks away from the day when we finally get to see the A90 Supra in flesh. But can you wait? We surely can’t.
