The future is H: Hyundai Motor Group to hold ‘Hydrogen Wave’ global forum in Sept.
MANILA: Hyundai Motor Group announced and released a teaser for what it calls a vision of a sustainable, hydrogen-based society. The brands call the initiative the Hydrogen Wave global forum which will take place on September 7, 2021 on Hyundai's YouTube channel. Hyundai is expected to unveil its framework for more hydrogen-based alternative products.
The Hyundai Motor Group has released three teasers, but the most interesting and exciting might just be this video with a performance-oriented, rear-wheel-drive vehicle that's heavily camouflaged running across a race track. This could mean something exciting is brewing at Hyundai or could simply mean a future concept. In any case it's a must see for anyone who looks to alternative fuels for performance motoring. Hyundai has also launched a microsite, complete with a countdown timer, that provides a glimpse of future hydrogen products and technologies that will be unveiled at Hydrogen Wave.
The forum, which is exclusively online, starts on September 7, 3 p.m. KST (2 p.m. Manila time), and will be live streamed via Hyundai's YouTube channel — with an in-person, physical exhibition taking place in the city of Goyang, South Korea, from September 8 to 11.
Falling on the "International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies," an annual September 7 event that was proposed by South Korea and ratified by the United Nations, Hydrogen Wave will demonstrate the future vision for hydrogen energy and a global hydrogen society based on Hyundai’s decades-long rich expertise and experience in hydrogen technology development.
State-of-the-art future fuel cell electric vehicles — as well as other innovative applications — will be unveiled during the forum. Cutting-edge hydrogen application systems and products from Hyundai’s affiliates will also be presented at the exhibition, further showcasing and detailing how a hydrogen society can be formed and realized.
