In addition to supporting various athletes, Toyota will also provide a wide range of sustainable mobility solutions at the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris.
Toyota will deploy some 700 personal last-mile mobility products (C+walk S, C+walk T, and wheelchair e-pullers), 250 Accessible People Movers, and 150 wheelchair-accessible Toyota Proace units.
Further, Toyota will employ the service of its electrified models to help move people at the event. The Olympic and Paralympic fleet will consist of nameplates like the bZ4X, Proace, Proace Verso, Mirai, RAV4, Corolla TS, Yaris Cross, and Highlander.
The Lexus RZ will join in to help the Japanese carmaker reduce carbon emissions at the forthcoming international multi-sport event by 50 percent compared to previous Olympic and Paralympic games.
“Being a Worldwide Partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Toyota is committed to providing sustainable mobility solutions that aid in fostering a decarbonized and inclusive society. In the run-up to Paris 2024, Toyota has announced the supply of 500 fuel-cell Mirai vehicles as part of its official fleet for this major sporting event. This highlights the company’s goals in achieving carbon neutrality and its belief in a multi-path approach towards sustainable mobility,” Toyota wrote in a press release.
