Toyota delivers 150 customized vehicles to Cebu to serve as premium taxis
MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines partnered with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and Cebu-based taxi service company Ogre Transport, Incorporated to support the public utilization vehicle (PUV) modernization program of the national government.
Toyota formally turned over 100 customized Innova units and 50 customized Hiace Commuter Deluxe units to Ogre Transport in a small event last March 7 in Consolacion, Cebu. The units will serve as Ogre Transport’s Silver and Gold premium taxis. The event was graced by Ogre Transport President Dave Lim, Orge Transport Corporate Secretary Richard Cuaho, LTFRB Regional Director Ret. Col. Eduardo C. Montealto, Jr., Toyota Mabolo representatives, LTFRB officers, and VIP guests.
In a statement, Toyota Mabolo President Philip Lo said, “It is a great honor that we were chosen by Ogre Premium Taxi as their partner in mobility in bringing a new riding experience to the public.” He also expressed his gratitude to the taxi service company for being their partner “in delivering happiness to commuters and bringing them safely to their destination.”
Toyota assures that its high-quality, resilient, and reliable vehicles will give a premium, safe, and comfortable commuting experience to Cebuanos and tourists who visit the province.
