Toyota PH gains 19th consecutive 'triple crown,' awards top dealerships
MANILA: Leading mobility company Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) recently recognized its exemplary dealerships that pushed the boundaries and brought excellent customer service and sales performance despite the obstacles that the entire automotive industry faced last year.
Toyota officials, leading affiliates, partners, and major dealer principals attended the Gala Awards for exemplary dealers, which was conducted as one of the highlights of the annual Dealer Convention of TMP in a “safe, sanitized, and socially distanced” manner at the the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Manila in Taguig City.
The other representatives of the 71-strong Toyota dealership network nationwide viewed the ceremonies and accepted their recognition through a live virtual stream.
During the opening remarks at the preceding dealer convention, TMP Chairman Alfred V. Ty expressed his gratitude to Team Toyota Philippines for taking part in economic rebuilding and allowing Filipinos to move forward from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ty shared, “This pandemic has really tested our spirits and pushed our limits. Yet, we were able to achieve a record-setting 41.3% market share last year. We emerged from 2020 with many new learnings, reflections and green shoots that we can nurture towards our sustainable growth in 2021 and beyond.”
Moreover, Ty recognized that TMP and its network of dealerships have a more significant role to play for its customers and a meaningful purpose in providing assistance to the Philippines.
Ty said, “As the leading automotive company in the Philippines, I believe it is our role and responsibility to take the wheel and help steer the country towards economic recovery. Let me make this appeal to all the members of Team Toyota Philippines: Let us be the solution. We should not watch from the sidelines. As a market leader, as a pillar of industry and as a partner in nation building we must provide strength and hope for the healing of Filipinos all over.”
TMP President Atsuhiro Okamoto reiterated the sentiments of Ty and encouraged the dealers to remain true to the mission of the auto brand.
Okamoto said, “We have proven ourselves that despite any challenge mankind can experience, we can successfully get through it as one team. The next step is how we can accelerate forward and lead the market towards full recovery. Let us remain adaptive and continue to stay ahead to provide mobility and produce happiness for all.”
