Toyota PH launches tracking system for fleet vehicles
MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) introduced its first automotive GPS system that will serve as a guide for entrepreneurs in monitoring their fleet vehicles and improving the efficiency of their workforce.
The Fleet Connected Service uses a tracking device to provide real-time updates on vehicle data including current location, trip monitoring, vehicle mileage, and driver behavior. The device also uses an unplug detection feature to record cases of disconnection and tampering. The data can be accessed anytime through Toyota’s G-Fleet System on any computer or mobile device.
This innovative system is currently supported in the 2016 to present models of Toyota Vios, Toyota Innova, Toyota Hiace, Toyota Hilux, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Avanza, Toyota Corolla Altis, Toyota Rush, and Toyota Wigo. TMP is working on making the device compatible with more models soon. The company is advising business owners to consult authorized Toyota technicians for the installation of the device to guarantee data security.
