MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has teased the arrival of the latest iteration of its rally-bred hot hatch, the Gazoo Racing (GR) Yaris.

Variants, powertrain
Documents from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) reveal a few details about the upcoming 2025 Toyota GR Yaris.
Based on the paperwork, the hatchback will be offered in two variants — one fitted with a manual gearbox and the other with an automatic transmission.
The two models will share a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with a top speed of 230 kilometers per hour.
Possible specs
While the records from LTO confirm the variants and powertrain of the 2025 Toyota GR Yaris, some of its specifications are yet to be disclosed by TMP. However, a quick look at the offerings from our neighbors in Thailand can provide us with a glimpse of what we might be getting.

In the Land of Smiles, the Toyota GR Yaris comes with two tail pipes and a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic roof. Inside, it offers would-be owners with Brin Naub-upholstered seats, a 12.3-inch thin-film transistor instrument panel, and a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
