Trimotors presents upgraded Bajaj RE 3-wheeler
MANILA: Trimotors Technology Corporation, the exclusive distributor of Bajaj three-wheelers in the Philippines, has officially launched the new Bajaj RE along with its new campaign “Bagong Biyahe: Aarangkada na with Bajaj (A New Journey Begins with Bajaj).”
The Bajaj RE is equipped with upgraded features including a sleek dashboard with MP3 player, a rear seat metal door, ergonomic seats, and symmetrical transparent hood on both sides.
Furthermore, the all-new Bajaj RE generates smoother engine performance as it is powered by a 198.88cc DTS-I FI engine. To reduce noise and vibration, the three-wheeler comes with a silencer assembly mounted on engine crankcase with enhanced timing chain.
As it conveys through its new campaign, Trimotors wants to provide a convenient form of mass transportation to all Filipinos. Mass transportation was first introduced by the Spaniards through the iconic calesa, which is now only found at tourist spots like Intramuros and Vigan. Later on, the famous Philippines jeepneys were introduced by upcycling the parts of the US Willys Jeepney from World War II. The most common mode of transportation in the country is the Philippine tricycle with millions of it plying across the roads.
Although the Bajaj three-wheelers may not yet be as widely used as typical Philippine tricycles, Trimotors will continue to promote the use of its products and services. Currently, the Bajaj three-wheelers serve as the main mode of land transportation in the cities of Tagaytay, Mati, and Siargao. Many Filipino entrepreneurs are also customizing Bajaj three-wheelers for their start-up businesses.
Because of the comfort and safety that the Bajaj RE provides, Jeffrey “Pong” Ylagan of Ylagan Kustom has customized it to be a PWD Transport Vehicle as part of his advocacy project. With its symmetrical build, fuel efficiency, and powerful performance, the Bajaj RE can carry the additional weight brought by the customization, making it suitable for the orthopedically disabled drivers.
To meet the needs of its riders, the vehicle features a multi-functional door that doubles as a rectangle ramp to help the driver get in the vehicle, a rotating floor with grip tapes to keep the wheelchair in place while driving, easy access controls in the dashboard area, and PWD signages at the sides and the rear.
The Bajaj RE is priced at P182,000. It comes in five different color variants: Yellow, Blue, Red, White, and Green.
