Unique buying experience for Lotus Evija revealed
MANILA: In line with the upcoming series production of its all-electric hypercar, the Evija, Lotus has disclosed how customers can choose the customized specifications of the vehicle.
The exceptional design of the two-seater car ensures that the road trip of every customer is exclusive. Customization requests on all aspects of the Evija, including its variations of external paint color to its detailed interior finishing, are involved in the improved purchasing process.
The manufacture of the Lotus Evija will begin in the latter part of 2020, and the allocation of the first year is meant for customers worldwide.
The all-new touchscreen configurator is the focal point for the specification of every vehicle. The ultra-powerful graphics processor, explicitly built for Lotus, produces a "photo-realistic" animation and images in high definition. Created using innovative gaming software, these enable buyers to design and personalize their car from scratch and view it from all angles.
Because of a state-of-the-art imaging method called ray-tracing, they can position the Evija in numerous world settings to determine how localized levels of sunlight can impact preferences. The final element is the production of a completely customized "360-degree fly-through" film that is unique to every customer.
Lotus has also revealed a collection of new Evija images taken from the configurator. The company shows a car situated inside the Lotus Design Studios at Hethel, UK, the international home of Lotus since 1966. It is polished in dazzling Atomic Red along with a Carbon Black accent pack. A new animation accompanies the design that also exhibits the car in Carbon Black and Solaris Yellow.
The configurator is only one component of the Lotus Evija purchasing experience. At frequent intervals during the buying process, every customer will acquire a special gift from Lotus that mirrors the technical and elite nature of the all-new electric hypercar.
The culmination is a hand-crafted design book, filled with beautiful photos of the customer’s car during its crucial moments of production. The book will be delivered to the customer, together with the Evija key, as part of the turnover process of the car.
According to Simon Clare, Lotus executive director for global marketing , the company knows that the journey of the customer should be exceptional, and a highly competent customer relations team is prepared to handle any demands or requests. Through high-quality digital tools like the new configurator of the Evija, they can meet customer needs and preferences worldwide with only one click of a button.
