Updated 2016 Toyota Corolla Ready to Amaze the World
MANILA: The premium C-segment sedan from Toyota’s stable has amazed the world over the years and now with the model’s 50th anniversary, the brand is set to give it a cosmetic upgrade. The new Corolla will be hitting the automotive world with a modernized look and notable styling lines this summer in Europe followed by other markets of the globe including Philippines.
On the outside, the 2016 Corolla looks slim, sleek and wide, thanks to the smaller front grille, sharp LED swept-back headlamps and a large air dam lower down the revised front bumper. The tail end has undergone few alterations as well, which include the thin chrome line connecting the revamped LED tail lights and a redesigned bumper. Adding to its beauty is the chrome strip at the door handles. Alloys are new as well, which will be available either in 16 or 17-inch depending upon the variant.
Recently, the brand’s racing division has also tried its hands on the new Fortuner and Yaris granting the auto lovers with something new and exclusive. Now with the modern Corolla, the brand has done every bit of it that can lure a Toyota fan on this planet.
Talking about the new Corolla specs, there isn’t anything official yet but it is speculated to carry a 2.0-litre Dual VVT-i engine with a seven-speed CVT system in Philippines.
Gracing the revised appeal of the new Corolla are the three new color options, Tokyo Red, Platinum Bronze and Earth Bronze. In addition to these, a new Toyota Safety Sense package has been included as standard in the Euro-spec model, which includes features like Lane Departure Alert, Pre-Collision System, Road Sign Assist and Automatic High Beam.
