Updated Toyota 86 All Set for its Australian Debut

MANILA: Yes, all-new Toyota 86 after its recent 2016 New York International Auto Show debut, is now all set to grace the Australian land. It is the same 86 that was in the news a few days back for its absorption of Scion FR-S. Well, as for what we know, Toyota 86 new look and some major changes are feedback driven. The feedback that the company has generated from participating in many rallies and races after 24 Hour of Nurburgring. 1. One major change comes in the form of modification of exhaust system and air intake parts. The said shift will help the car achieve peak torque at different mill speeds and also allowing the car to give away better torque display at lower RPM count
2. Though the new 86 displays the same 2.0L boxer mill underneath but now it has been re-tuned to give away additional 5 PS of power. As for now, performance booklet will read 207 PS and 212 Nm under power and torque section respectively.
3. For better steering response and ride comfort that forms a part of the improved suspension, 86 comes with increased set of spot weld points.
4. As for the cosmetic upgradations, the car now displays a lowered nose, expanded grille opening and horizontally stretched out rear bumper. At the rear end, you'll find re-positioned LED taillamps.
5. Enhancing its aerodynamic quotient are present features like fog lamp bezel, nose fins, and canards.
6. The cabin now comes with additional features like 4.2-inch TFT color info display, and first every 362mm diameter steering wheel.
