VinFast VF8 secures numerous awards in ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix 2024

MANILA: The Vinfast VF8 secured a total of five awards in the recent New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia (ASEAN NCAP) Grand Prix.

The D-segment sport utility vehicle (SUV) was the overall victor in the Best Safety Performance Award and bagged the top honors in the Child Occupant Protection, Safety Assist, and Motorcyclist Safety categories.

Aside from that, the organization also hailed the Vinfast VF8 as the Best SUV under the Excellence Award.

Per VinFast, the awards were given last May 28 following a rigorous evaluation process by ASEAN NCAP from 2022 to 2023, solidifying its position as the leading safety benchmark in Southeast Asia and a respected organization on the global stage.

To note, the VinFast VF8 was developed in collaboration with Italian design house Pininfarina.

VinFast recently revealed its wide-ranging lineup composed of electrified four- and two-wheelers.

Showcased during the recent brand launched were the Vinfast VF9, VF7, VF e34, and VF 5. Prices of the models are to be shared on a latter date.
