Volkswagen Golf GTI Oettinger Edition Revealed At PIMS 2016

MANILA: The ongoing 6th Philippine International Motor Show has given the country a lot of new prospective models and amidst this a special edition from the house of Volkswagen has also made its entry in the Philippines. Yes, the German automaker has introduced a special edition of its much acclaimed Golf GTI, tagged as Oettinger Edition. The all-new Volkswagen Golf GTI Oettinger Edition will be only limited to 25 units and there is no official word about increasing this number in near future.

Klaus Schadewald, the Chief Operation Advisor of Volkswagen Philippines said, “the limited edition Golf GTI is bestowed with a bespoke exterior, kudos to Oettinger, a German tuning company that deals in aftermarket upgrades and bodykits work.” The new special edition Golf GTI is covered with matte black wrapping, which also include the custom body kit. The other head turning features of limited edition Golf GTI include front spoiler, front splitter, side skirts, quad-exhaust finishers, rear skirt with integrated diffuser and a rear spoiler. The 19-inch twin spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 225/40 tyres further adds to the sporty character of this hot hatch.

Under the hood, a 2.0-litre TSI inline-four cylinder engine produces maximum power output of 220 PS at 4500-6200 rpm while the peak torque measures 350 Nm at 1500-4400 rpm. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed dual clutch transmission and power is transmitted to front wheels. The particular edition is only limited to the Philippines and the car will be on stage till 18th September.
