To date, Volkswagen pointed out that more than 37 million units of the Golf have been produced. In mathematical terms, one can say that over 2,000 people around the world have opted to buy a new Golf every single day over the last 50 years.
“The Golf offers maximum space and safety. It is uncompromisingly geared towards practicality. The low beltline gives drivers a clear overview, and the sloping bonnet ensures that the road right in front of the vehicle is visible. The rear window extends well down, making reversing much easier,” the company stated.
With eight generations under its belt, the Volkswagen Golf not only stood the test of time but also showed that it continues to evolve and cater to the needs of the current car buyers. In 2024, the Golf gets a next-generation infotainment system, a more intuitive operating concept, a sharper front and rear end design, an illuminated Volkswagen logo, as well as efficient drive systems.
In addition, the Golf also receives voice control and artificial intelligence-based chatbot ChatGPT.
Volkswagen will also offer the Golf in a plug-in hybrid variant with an increased all-electric range of more than 100 kilometers.
