Volkswagen PH offers discounts on Lavida and Santana
MANILA: Automotive dealerships in the country have been allowed to reopen in compliance with stringent health and safety guidelines under the general community quarantine (GCQ).
Volkswagen Philippines reopens its nine-strong dealership network with discounts on the Lavida compact sedan and the Santana subcompact sedan until June 30, 2020.
For the Santana, customers can lop P90,000 off from the price of the 1.5 MPI AT S, P66,000 off on the 1.4 MPI MT, and P15,000 off on the 1.5 MPI AT SE. Meanwhile, a P85,000 discount has been provided for the Lavida 1.4 TSI DSG SE.
Warranty coverage for these Volkswagen models is all-inclusive. On top of a three-year/100,000-km (whichever comes first) general warranty, the periodic maintenance service (PMS) interval schedule has also been modified for the convenience of the vehicle owners. PMS work only needs to be yearly, or every 10,000 km (whichever comes first). Compared with the industry-standard 5,000-km PMS interval, the Volkswagen PMS is more cost-efficient and convenient.
Aside from this, all Volkswagen vehicle purchases automatically entitle the owner to the 24/7 Emergency Roadside Assistance. This service offers added peace of mind, safety, and security in case of vehicle breakdowns or accidents.
The Santana is a suitable Volkswagen sedan, especially for young professionals and young families. It is also an ideal model for frontliners who need to travel to the city or provinces as part of their responsibilities to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the country. Through this model, they can also reconnect with their loved ones whom they have not seen for a long time due to their hectic schedules, heavy workloads, and community quarantines. The generous interior space of the Santana also promotes proper physical distancing among passengers and the driver.
The Santana variants also include rear composite torsion beam semi-independent suspension, safety cage (front and rear crumple zones), front MacPherson independent suspension, and electronic power steering. Safety highlights include front dual airbags, immobilizer, anti-lock braking system, and standard Isofix anchorage (a mounting feature for two child seats on the rear seat bench).
A 1.4-liter multi-point injection, four-cylinder petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission provides maximum torque of 132Nm and maximum power of 89hp.
The Santana 180 MPI AT S and SE variants provide more power through its 1.5-liter, four-cylinder, in-line petrol engine with BlueMotion technology, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission producing a maximum torque of 150Nm and maximum power output of 108hp.
Meanwhile, the Lavida is the suitable sedan for corporate managers who give importance to the comfort and safety of their families but still, look for passion and power in their workplaces and in driving.
The Lavida 230 TSI DSG SE features a 1.4-liter, four-cylinder turbo fuel-injected petrol engine with BlueMotion technology, harnessed through a seven-speed direct shift gearbox transmission, which can generate 225Nm and 128hp.
Its interior includes a sunroof, push start/stop button, Climatronic air conditioning, cruise control, and leather seat material. Among its safety features are front and rear PDC, hill hold control, anti-slip regulation, electronic differential lock, ESP with brake assist, and front dual and side airbags.
