Volkswagen Philippines partners with MMDA to create child road safety awareness
MANILA: Volkswagen Philippines has started a campaign of Child Safety Initiative (CSI) by partnering with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). The company is dedicated to bring awareness regarding child road safety in Philippines. At the driving course, the members of CSI will provide traffic aids with the MMDA.
The project partners, Corazon Jimenez (General Manager) and deputy Antonio Pagulayan will deliver proper traffic guidelines to the kids and parents at the junior driving course.
The CSI campaign is meant to provide awareness to children coming under 4-8 years of age group and let them learn basic road safety habits. This campaign is a part of CSI global strategy and this has been already practiced in various countries. The kids will be allowed to join a 50m Junior Driving Course and later on, the participants will get a junior driver's license.
The campaign started from November, 8, 2015 and has successfully registered 3,878 children and 3,199 adults. Volkswagen PH has shared the report with the efforts of various VW dealers, schools, and malls. The participants will receive a training certificate on completion of the course in the end by MMDA.
In order to mark the success of the campaign, Volkswagen Philippines had initiated tour around local schools with Manresa Paranaque during last October 24.
