Volkswagen T-Cross debuts today, pre-launch pricing extended
MANILA: Volkswagen Philippines will officially roll out the much-awaited T-Cross crossover SUV in the local market today, May 26.
To celebrate the arrival of the T-Cross, the company will stage a #TCrossTrendspotting campaign, which gives the public a chance to participate by taking photos of their T-Cross sightings on the road, at the dealers, or in any location. Participants must submit the photos to the social media pages of Volkswagen Philippines from May 26 to June 30. The photo must include a brief caption summarizing their first impressions of the vehicle, along with the hashtags #TCrossTrendspotting and #MoreThan1Thing. Five lucky spotters will receive an entertainment gadget.
The #TCrossTrendspotting activity not only showcases the stylish and trendy look of the new crossover, but also provides the public with candid glimpses of the vehicle in different surroundings and conditions. Volkswagen Philippines believes that the photos will prove how the T-Cross perfectly fits with the various lifestyles of the customers.
The Volkswagen T-Cross is "picture-perfect in every angle," as it features a trendy design and youthful interior layout. It features the longest wheelbase in its class, providing a spacious and versatile cabin that can accommodate up to five people and 1,319 liters of cargo. Aside from its rigid body structure, the T-Cross is also packed with additional safety technologies including electronic stabilization program (ESP), cruise control, tire pressure monitoring system, and rear park distance control (PDC). Exclusive on the top trim are six airbags, additional LED headlights, rear camera, and autonomous emergency braking (AEB).
The T-Cross is powered by a Euro 6-compliant 1.5-liter engine paired to a six-speed tiptronic automatic transmission. It generates substantial power and maximum fuel efficiency in both city and countryside drives.
The crossover’s design and engineering reflects the diversity of its target market — the upwardly mobile, results-oriented, and go-getter millennials who are looking for a car that will match their comprehensive passions and lifestyles. It begins with the vehicle’s design statement which is aptly summed up as “I am more than one thing.”
T-Cross units are assembled in Volkswagen’s four global manufacturing hubs in China, Brazil, Germany, and India. The production strictly follows the exact design and engineering specifications and standards of Volkswagen Germany.
The Volkswagen T-Cross made its world debut in 2018. By 2020, it has been rolled out in 55 countries, moving over 300,000 units within two years.
Aside from being a hit in the global market, the T-Cross has also been highly recognized by different automotive experts and award-giving bodies. It has also received five-star safety ratings from the European New Car Assessment Program (NCAP), the Australasian NCAP, and Latin NCAP.
The Volkswagen T-Cross gets a yearly periodic maintenance service (PMS) schedule — or every 10,000 km (whichever comes first), a three-year/100,000-km warranty (whichever comes first), and a two-year spare parts warranty.
The T-Cross will be available in all Volkswagen dealerships in Luzon starting today. It will be rolled out in the Visayas and Mindanao dealerships starting June 4. Volkswagen Philippines extends its introductory price offer of P30,000 off the retail prices of the T-Cross until June 30.
