WATCH: Changan PH explains how the CS35 Plus 'Safe-tech' systems work

MANILA: Changan Motor Philippines Inc. (CMPI) believes that safe drivers observe local road safety rules, and make sure that their vehicle of choice is equipped with basic modern safety technology.

CMPI adds that as buyers consider budget as their prime consideration in buying a new vehicle, the new Changan CS35 Plus aims to bundle what the carmaker calls “Safe-tech" and reasonable prices. 

Safe-tech is a suite of active safety and protection systems that complement the CS35 Plus' (in Hype and Luxe variants) basic safety features. 

The Safe-tech's Front Collision Warning (FCW) gives the driver visual alerts on the digital instrument display, and sets off an alarm to brake when the system detects risk of collision with the vehicle in front.

Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) supplements the driver’s brake force during emergency situations.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) uses a built-in radar to detect the motion of the vehicle in front, and provide information to actively adjust and decrease or increase CS35 Plus’ speed accordingly.

The Around View Camera and Monitor System gives 2D or 3D visibility with a 360-degree view of the vehicles surroundings, so as to help the driver avoid obstructions when parking or maneuvering in tight spaces.

In the CS35 Plus, those above mentioned monitors give HD quality video recording in all directions, plus emergency video recording when the camera detects possible danger, like accidental collision or sudden braking.

Inside the CS35 Plus, a six-airbags composed of front and side driver and passenger seat airbags, and front to rear side air curtains help reduce injury to occupants in the event of a collision.

The Smart Window System with anti-pinch function is installed on all four windows. Meanwhile, the Auto Close feature closes all open windows and sunroof if left open upon locking the vehicle.

The cabin itself is engineered with Changan’s Ultra-High Strength Body frame that maintains rigidity, while mitigating the impact force to its crumple zone areas to create a safe cabin for occupants.

Adding to the CS35 Plus' Safe-tech is the Changan Vital 5+ after-sales program.

The Vital 5+ includes a five-year/150,000-kilometer mileage warranty, Changan Pacesetter roadside assistance and towing service, Changan Fastlane’s 60-minute service guarantee with free PMS Labor for the first year or first 20,000km (whichever comes first).

Changan Veloservice allows Changan owners to book their service appointment online, and receive quick and efficient assistance from CAIA, Changan’s AI Chatbot.

The CS35 Plus will be presented at the Changan Limitless Pavilion at the 2022 Manila International Auto Show on April 7 to 10.
