Witness Thrilling Motorsports Action at Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival on Aug. 23-24

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) will be hosting the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Festival 2023 on August 23 and 24 at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.

The TGR Festival has been hailed as Toyota's biggest gathering of motorsports fans and aficionados honoring their shared passion for cars and racing.

Racing enthusiasts, car owners, and fans are invited to watch the world-class driving exhibitions led by Toyota Motor Corporation Chairman Akio Toyoda, also known as Morizo, on August 23. He will be joined by international racers Katsuta Norihiko and Sasaki Masahiro. The team will be performing in legendary TGR race cars, the Toyota WRC Yaris and Red Bull GR Corolla.

Filipino racers Alex Perez and Luis Gono, along with TGR Ambassador Marlon Stockinger, will also showcase their drifting and gymkhana skills with the Toyota GR Supra, Toyota GR Yaris, and Toyota GR 86. Actor and TV host Ryan Agoncillo will also participate in the driving action as the representative of Team Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines of the TGR Vios Cup.

Spectators will also have the opportunity to ride shotgun on the Toyota GR Supra, Toyota GR Yaris, and Toyota GR 86 with professional racers. Car enthusiasts may also witness GR race cars being readied and serviced at the pit. Official GR merchandise will also be on sale at the GR Garage for anyone who wants to keep the GR spirit with them.

Attendees will also be able to witness performances from OPM bands and artists at the two-day event. OPM legend Ely Buendia and folk-pop band Ben & Ben will headline the performances on August 23. Parokya ni Edgar and Kamikazee will give back-to-back rock performances on August 24.

The top sim racers in the 2023 TGR Gran Turismo Cup (GT Cup) will also be competing against each other at the TGR GT Cup National Finals that will be held on the second day of the TGR Festival. This competition will determine who will represent the Philippines in the Asia Regional Rounds.
