Zigwheels, Carmudi end Toyota GR Vios Cup 2023 season with podium finishes

MANILA: Zigwheels Philippines and its sister company, Carmudi Philippines, claimed two spots on the podium of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup 2023 Autocross Challenge - Media Promotional Class.

Patricia Tenorio of Zigwheels emerged as the overall champion of the Autocross Challenge for the Media Promotional Class for the 2023 season, while Lyka Tan of Carmudi placed third overall.

Taking the second spot on the podium was Mica Delos Reyes of Philippine Star.

During the last leg of the challenge held on Saturday at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga, Tenorio and Tan also finished first and third, respectively. Delos Reyes also placed second in this round.

Tenorio also received the “Fastest Time” special award — the same recognition she got in the first two legs of the season.

The overall championship was given to Tenorio after also winning the first leg in July and placing second in the second leg in September.

Meanwhile, Tan won the challenge in the second leg.

“It’s such a wonderful experience… definitely one for the books,” Tenorio said. “I’m really thankful for Toyota Motor Philippines for letting us participate in this year’s race. I’m also thankful to meet all the participants. They’re really good and I think we did all our best.”

Aside from the members of the motoring media, social media personalities and beauty queens also took on the Autocross Challenge for the Influencer Category.

Seasoned and up-and-coming racers also competed in the Circuit Championship and the first-ever Vios Cup Grand Prix endurance race.
