So, to help those eyeing to ride home the Suzuki Burgman 400, here are some pros and cons that might help in making a better buying decision.

Pros:

Expressway-legal

As we’ve mentioned earlier, the Suzuki Burgman 400 is a motorcycle equipped with an engine that meets the minimum requirement for our Philippine expressways.

Powering the motorcycle is a 400 cubic centimeter (cc) powerplant mated to a continuously variable transmission, which means that owners of the Suzuki Burgman 400 can enjoy the convenience of using Philippine toll roads to quickly reach their destinations.

In addition, the said 400cc mill offers more than enough power to get riders through uphill roads and other riding situations.

Decent technology

The Suzuki Burgman 400 is equipped with decent motorcycle technology allowing riders to make the most out of their trips.

Featured in the maxi scoot is a 12-volt socket to charge one’s gadgets, a hand bake to help riders manage steep roads, LED lighting, a wide instrument panel with analog and digital gauges, and an automatic idle speed control to name a few.

Comfortable ride

One of the advantages of riding a scooter versus other types of motorcycles is comfort. The seating position is upright and will not require the rider to assume physically demanding postures, say like a sports bike would.

Further, the Suzuki Burgman 400 has soft seats that ensure comfort when taking on long rides. It even has a decent-sized backrest that can help make going on long journeys a more pleasant experience.

Another feature worth noting for the Suzuki Burgman 400 is its relatively large fuel tank. On paper, it can hold as much as 13.5 liters of gasoline.

In comparison, the Kymco Xciting S 400i only has a fuel tank that can accommodate 12.5 liters of fuel.

Cons:

Somewhat heavy

Having a large frame and a large fuel tank might have its advantages. However, it adds to the weight of the motorcycle, which means that small-statured riders might have a hard time handling the Suzuki Burgman 400.

It also has a high ride height, so riders of small build might have difficulty using the Suzuki Burgman 400 for extended periods of time.
