2017 Royal Enfield Himalayan launched in the Philippines

MANILA:  One of the highly anticipated bikes, the 2017 Royal Enfield Himalayan has been finally launched in the Philippines. While the rest of the models in the lineup have made a significant impact on the market, the expectations from 2017 Himalayan are surely high. For the ones, who love to take on the rough terrains, Royal Enfield has offered a perfect counterpart for exploration as well as off-road trails.

Royal Enfield is known for producing rugged machines that are capable of taking on any terrain with ease and Himalayan is an amalgamation of sportiness and robustness. The bike feels more like a modern classic, taking styling inspiration from ‘70s enduro aesthetics and late ‘80s dual-sport technology.

Talking about the powertrain of this modern adventure bike, it is powered by an all-new, air-cooled 411cc single cylinder engine. This strong power mill is able to produce 24.5 PS maximum power at 6500 rpm while peak torque rest at 32 Nm at 4000 rpm. The suspension duties are handled by 41mm conventional telescopic forks with 300mm disc at the front while a 240mm disc at the rear.

For the Philippines, the 2017 Royal Enfield Himalayan is priced at Php 299,000 which includes a set of aluminum panniers.

The bike is retailing at the Royal Enfield Pilipinas and in the Metro Manila, the bike can be viewed at the Bagtikan St. dealership in Makati. Though the bike has been introduced in the market, the deliveries will begin in the first week of April 2017. But, dealers are taking pre-orders.
