Aprilia PH launches SR GT 200 Racing Replica

MANILA: Aprilia Philippines arm under launched the SR GT 200 Racing Replica last weekend, via the Skylines and Speedways event hosted by the Autohub Group, through the Autoitalia brand.

Per the local arm of the Italian motorcycle company, the Aprilia SR GT 200 Racing Replica draws its aesthetics directly from the Aprilia RS-GP, the motorcycle ridden by Aleix Espargaró and Maverick Viñales — key figures in the 2023 MotoGP World Championship.

Sporty city scoot

The Aprilia SR GT 200 Racing Replica boasts a matte black finish, enhanced by the same red and purple graphics that characterize the elegant fairings of the Aprilia Racing factory team’s Aprilia RS-GP. Also notable are the “SR GT Replica” decals on its cheeks, the colors of the Italian flag on its front cowling, as well as the “Aprilia” script at the fore and on the side central tunnel.

Pretty much like the MotoGP bikes borne out of the Noale racing department, the wheel rims of the Aprilia SR GT 200 Racing Replica are finished in black with red details. It also comes with sportier tires with street treads instead of the typical all-terrain rubbers slapped on the other versions of the nameplate (SR GT and SR GT Sport).

As an added bonus, Aprilia Philippines announced that those who will pre-order the SR GT 200 Racing Replica will receive a free Zard exhaust system valued at P36,500. Other accessories like crash bars, a rear top box bracket, and various utility boxes can be purchased by motorcycle buyers to dress up their rides.

Familiar power, performance

The Aprilia SR GT 200 Racing Replica packs a 174 cubic centimeter engine mated to a continuously variable transmission. The said gasoline-fed powerplant makes as much as 17 horsepower with 16.5 Newton meters of pulling power.

According to Aprilia Philippines, these numbers “raise the bar and ensure elasticity, quick acceleration, and smooth riding in any conditions with truly reduced fuel consumption.”

Pricing

The Aprilia SR GT 200 Racing Replica is priced at P268,000. The sporty scooter can now be preordered at any Aprilia dealership across the country.

Aprilia SR GT Roadshow Truck

During the launch of the Aprilia SR GT 200 Racing Replica, the motorcycle marque’s Philippine wing also kicked off the Aprilia SR GT Roadshow Truck — an innovative mobile retail concept.

The Aprilia SR GT Roadshow Truck features Aprilia SR GT motorcycles, accessories, and other merchandise. It will make the rounds across various Aprilia dealerships in Luzon.

“What’s exciting about this day is that we will be launching not only a new Aprilia model but an innovative retail store to go along with it. On this special launch day, I hope everyone gets to partake in this immersive and exciting experience as we unveil the brand new Aprilia SR GT 200 Racing Replica and the Aprilia SR GT Roadshow Truck,” noted Autohub Group President Willy Tee Ten.
