Delbros Group donates 12 KTM motorcycles to PNP and AFP
MANILA: The Delgado brothers (Delbros) Group recently turned over 12 brand-new KTM 390 Duke motorcycle units to the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Five of the KTM motorbikes were handed over to the AFP. A ceremony and deed of donation signing were conducted in Camp General E. Aguinaldo, Quezon City. Three motorcycle units were given to GHQ & Headquarters Service Commander Col. George Joel Lalaquil, PA; Deputy Commander Capt. Joselito De Guzman, PN; and MP Battalion Commanding Officer Maj. Evangeline Nualda, PA; The other two units were provided to the AFP Office of Legislative Affair spearheaded by Col. Acmad Omar Jr., PAF; and Maj. Gabriel Arañez, PA.
According to the AFP, the motorcycle units will help improve their incident response capacity and liaison services with both houses of Congress. In a statement, Maj. Nualda said, “On behalf of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, I thank the Delbros Group, led by Chairman Jose Eduardo Delgado, for this generosity. This grant of five units will not only boost the capability of the Armed Forces but it will also uplift the well-being of our personnel.”
The Delbros Group donated seven KTM motorcycles to the PNP as part of its commitment to public service. Five of these motorbikes will be distributed around Metro Manila while the other two will be sent to Mindanao. A turnover ceremony was also conducted with the presence of PNP Chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, Police BGen. Alexander Tagum from the PNP Highway Patrol Group, Edgar Santos of Delbros Leasing, and Marianne Mendoza of United Parcel Service (UPS) Philippines.
“With these donations, we can be more effective in the delivery of the services that are expected of us from the Filipino people. The common goal of having a peaceful and progressive nation will only be possible if the PNP and the private sector work together for the greater good of the country,” Gen. Eleazar stated.
The KTM 390 Duke is a high-performance motorcycle with motorsports-proven technology, a trademark of the renowned Austrian brand. The donated units were manufactured in the Philippines.
“We are strongly committed to national and community development. We salute the AFP and the PNP in preserving public safety and maintaining peace and order. Providing you with high quality and reliable vehicles is Delbros’ way of reinforcing your capability to better fulfill your roles and duties in society,” Delgado said.
The donation is part of the Delbros Group’s corporate social responsibility and stakeholder capacity building program. The donated units were acquired from Iconic Dealership Inc., the Ayala-owned KTM Authorized Dealer in the Philippines.
Iconic Dealership Inc. Sales Manager Christopher Bautista stated, “We are delighted that the Delbros Group chose KTM Duke Motorcycles for this CSR initiative. We trust that this urban warrior will serve the AFP and PNP well by delivering speed, reliability, and performance.”
