Honda PCX150: Things we love about it

Scooters are an integral part of our country. There is a big chunk of the population that depends on scooters for their daily tasks. That’s the reason you will find so many scooters out on the roads. Since these are popular machines and are in huge demand, companies also make them in abundance and different forms. Honda is one such brand that has a large variety of scooters for the Philippine market. It is highly likely that you will find the scooter of your choice at a Honda dealership.

Since scooters are so important here, companies have started to explore and experiment more. Today, there are many models available that have a modern design language and very useful features. One such scooter is the Honda PCX150. It can make you fall in love with it just by its looks. So, let’s find out more about this scooter and tell you the things we love about it.

Sophisticated headlamp design

We were not joking when we told you that the PCX150 is going to make you fall for it just by the way it looks. Just have a look at its headlamp and you would know what we are talking about. Honda has clearly done a fantastic job here. The PCX150 has got a very sophisticated and sharp headlight design that looks like a thing from the future. And, of course, it is a full LED unit. The entire headlamp assembly gives an alien-like appearance to the Honda PCX150.

Attractive side view

The PCX150 looks great not just from the front but also from the side thanks to the sharp and angular cowl. Also, the side mounted exhaust adds to the overall style quotient. The 14-inch blacked out alloy wheels are also something to notice.

LED taillight with hazard lamp

The rear end of the PCX150 gets a very stylish and sharp LED taillight. It also has integrated side turn signals. Honda has also provided the PCX150 with hazard lamps. The taillight here should allow you to easily identify the PCX150 in a crowd.

Fully digital speedometer

Honda wants the PCX150 to be a modern scooter not just by the way it looks but also the features it comes equipped with. For example, the instrument cluster comes with a fully digital speedometer located in the centre and on its sides are many tell-tale lights.

Large under seat storage

The Honda PCX150 comes with a large 28-litre under seat storage which should be more than sufficient to store a proper full face helmet along with some other items. There is even a seat stopper so you don’t have to hold the seat up every time you have to access the under seat storage area. This is indeed a clever and necessary feature.

Console box with power outlet

Honda understands how important it is for us to have our smartphones charged at all times. And since the PCX150 is a modern scooter, it comes with a console box that has a power outlet. Now you don’t need to worry about your smartphone running out of juice, how convenient, right?

Smooth engine

Let's talk about Honda PCX150 specs now. The engine on the PCX150 is a 150 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine that produces 14.48 bhp of max power at 8,500 rpm and 13.6 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The transmission is a V-Matic automatic type. The engine is super smooth and refined, which is one of the many things Honda is known for.

Braking capacity

The PCX150 comes with a 100 and 120 section front and rear tyre respectively. Also, it weighs just 131-kg which makes it easier to stop and zip through the traffic. Honda has provided disc brakes which work brilliantly. And to help it perform even better, ABS is also installed.

These were some of the things that we love about the Honda PCX150. There is a lot more to this scooter than all of this. The Honda PCX150 price is Php 133,900 and for that many Pesos, you one hell of a machine.
