KTM bids farewell to Brabus series with limited-run Masterpiece Edition

MANILA: KTM has unveiled the Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece Edition, which marks the end of production of the brand’s Brabus series.

The KTM Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece Edition is available in two colors: Onyx Black and Diamond White. Only 25 units of each color variant will be produced.

Every unit of this limited-edition bike comes with a Brabus “1 of 25” Sign of Excellence badge with Frozen Gold highlights and a Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece badge on the seat pad.

Compared with the previous limited editions, the Masterpiece Edition is designed with an even more extensive carbon package. It has covers for the top of the alternator enclosure, the single-sided swingarm, and the triangle-shaped frame sections under the tank, and the seat.

Its striking appearance, which features a front visor with a large, circular LED headlight and distinctive side fairings with integrated winglets similar to those on MotoGP motorcycles, immediately distinguishes this bike. These design elements are also made of exposed carbon. A specifically designed animation can be seen on the motorcycle’s TFT display when it is started.

The 17-inch Brabus Monoblock Z Gold Platinum wheels are made using cutting-edge forcing and computer numerical control technologies. The nine-spoke design is given a more exclusive look by the diamond-polished sections. Performance tires of sizes 120/70 R 17 at the front and 200/55 R 17 at the rear are fitted on the wheels.

Other special equipment features are the Brabus 1300 R slip-on dual exhaust with accent rings in Frozen Gold, black Brabus single seat with Diamond Rising quilting pattern, and adjustable Brabus front brake, clutch levers, and foot pegs.

The KTM Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece Edition is powered by an LC8 V-twin engine that produces 180 horsepower and reaches a top speed of 270 kilometers per hour (kph). It can accelerate from a standstill to 100kph in just 3.2 seconds.

Every purchase of the Masterpiece Edition comes with a tailor-made Brabus indoor motorcycle cover, an exclusive Brabus floor mat for parking the bike in the garage, and an exclusive Brabus carbon key box with Brabus Masterpiece emblem.

The KTM Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece Edition is priced at €41,930 (approximately P2.5 million).
