MDPPA announces photo contest, winner to get Php 25,000
MANILA: A photography contest that has the theme “Let’s explore and enjoy our wonderful world! My Motorcycle. My World!” has been launched by the Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association (MDPPA). Just in case you’re not aware enough, the MDPPA comprises of motorcycle manufacturers like Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki. The contest aims at promoting motorcycle tourism (motourism) and has invited all the riders to submit their entries and win exciting prizes.
Also, MDPPA aims at conveying the message of safety via the photography contest. The Philippines with its beautiful coasts, dense forests, and picture-perfect landscapes will certainly provide the riders with an amazing opportunity to click some thrilling photographs. Not only the winner will be awarded Php 25,000 but the awarded photograph will also represent MDPPA at the Federation of Asian Motorcycle Industries (FAMI) Photography Contest. MDPPA will stand a chance of winning SG$ 4,000 at the contest that will be organised in September 2019 in Bali, Indonesia.
To be eligible to submit an entry in the contest, the rider must be at least 18 years old. Moreover, up to two entries can be submitted by each participant. As mentioned before, safe motorcycle riding, motorcycle safety, and Philippine tourism should be promoted by the photograph. Furthermore, the submitted photograph shouldn’t have won an award in the past. Previously published photographs will also not be accepted.
Riders are also required to submit a caption of around 100 words with their entries. Maximum file size allowed is 10 MB and the photograph should be of 300 dpi, at least. JPEG, TIFF, or PNG are the accepted formats. Both MDPPA employees and their relatives the second degree cannot take part in the contest. The submitted entries will be judged based on - 30% content or relevance to the theme; 20% artistic value and communication potential; 20% technical excellence and quality; and 30% overall impression.
While the first, second, and third place holders will get Php 25,000, Php 15,000, and Php 10,000 respectively, there will be three consolation prizes of Php 5,000 each as well. Visit this link to submit your entries before 5 PM on 15 August 2019, which is the last date for submission.
