Royal Enfield PH introduced its latest team of brand ambassadors

MANILA: Royal Enfield Philippines formally announced its official trio of brand ambassadors - The Royal Enfield Adventure Team. It would represent the popular vintage motorcycle brand in different motorcycle events and corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects around the country.

The team comprises of riders Michael Siobal, Mon Astillero, and Cheggy Medina, who are no stranger to the world of adventure riding, having ridden together and separately in different motorbike events throughout the years.

Siobal, who is a regional telecoms manager by day, has completed the BOSS Ironman and Lahar Challenge. Astillero is a business process outsourcing executive (BPO) by profession. Medina, on the other hand, is an avid motorbike rider while being a strong advocate for indigenous people.

Jimmy Barinaga, the president of Royal Enfield Philippines, said that he is excited about the team’s prospects and hinted that the team could represent the company in international riding events as well. “It’s my dream also by bringing these guys to the Himalayas,” Barinaga said.

As for the group’s intention to dabble in corporate social responsibility, Astillero emphasised that adventure riding can help make a difference in communities rarely touched by development.

“I assume that’s somewhat we are encouraging other riders to do. Because we do not just want to pass through the communities. We want to be concerned in the community in every visit,” said Astillero.

When enquired about what they could advise riders who are having a hard time securing a “visa” from their family members participating in multi-day adventure riding, “We engage our family in our hobby and sports” said Mon Astillero, restating that the hobby of a rider could also be a grand opportunity for family bonding, especially for the wife as can get to know her husband’s rider group and get familer as well as comfortable. “This is not just us, but this is a group that involves our entire family,” Mon added. “Kailangan ng facebook.
