Shell, Suzuki PH ink partnership to provide perks for moto riders
MANILA: Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation was named by Suzuki Philippines as its preferred fuel provider for its motorcycle lineup. Last month, the two companies confirmed their partnership in a signing agreement held at Suzuki 3S Shop Roosevelt, Quezon City.
The contract signing event was attended by Pilipinas Shell Vice President and General Manager for Mobility Randy del Valle, Shell Mobility Marketing Delivery Manager Arvin Obmerga, Suzuki Philippines Motorcycle Sales and Marketing Division General Manager Jun Bulot, and Suzuki Motorcycle Marketing Manager Nenuka Guba.
During the event, Del Valle stated, “We are delighted to partner with Suzuki, one of the biggest brands nationally. The features and services in our Shell stations will be providing extra layers of customer satisfaction to clients who had bought Suzuki motorcycles here in the Philippines.”
In parallel, Bulot said, “Now that we are being challenged by the pandemic, this project is a refreshing step to reward our customers as we all ride ahead in the new normal. We encourage them to move around on two wheels because motorcycles are economical, efficient, and promote social distancing. And we are glad that we are with you (Shell) in this endeavor.”
Meanwhile, Guba confirmed, “On our end, we’re really happy to be partnering with Pilipinas Shell. One of our thrusts is actually (about) customer relationships, and this project we now have with Shell is something that we are looking at as a customer delighter especially in this trying time.”
Every purchase of any Suzuki motorcycle now comes with a free Shell Go+ card, preloaded with 200 points. Cardholders can get exclusive benefits and rewards that can make their travels safer and more convenient. The Shell Go+ program allows its members to earn and redeem points, and receive exclusive perks in any Shell station nationwide. Cardholders also get exclusive discounts on Shell V-Power fuels, lubricants, and Shell Select snacks. The program also offers free roadside assistance to Suzuki motorbike riders.
“The benefit will go to the Suzuki customers themselves, as they will enjoy the quality products and services from the Shell station. Suzuki was one of the top choices for partnership primarily because of its reputation as a brand,” Obmerga stated.
Suzuki recommends Shell V-Power fuels because of the efficiency and protection that they provide to the motorcycle engines. The Shell V-Power fuels are developed by Shell’s international group of scientists using Dynaflex technology, which is formulated with powerful cleaning molecules developed to avoid and eliminate performance-robbing engine deposits. It can work under extreme conditions of fuel intake system, breaking down, and cleaning-away deposits. It helps maintain the fuel intake system clean to make the engine breathe better and improve the motorcycle’s performance.
Also, through Shell and Suzuki’s partnership, Suzuki bikers can now have their motorcycles sanitized and will be given free maintenance checks in the V-Power Bida Bikers lane in select Shell stations. This exclusive lane for bikers allows them to be fueled without having to wait in a queue.
Obmerga recognized the contribution of the riders in the revival of the economy. He said, “It is high time for us to give specific benefits for our motorcycle riders, given the support they have provided and their assistance to the economy during the pandemic.”
Meanwhile, Del Valle encouraged riders to try out the lanes and biker bays that Shell has provided in its stations. He stated, “I do really look forward to the opportunity to inviting all Suzuki motorcycles to visit a Shell Mobility Station. You will really be treated as a guest with an enhanced customer experience. Shell stations will not only provide riders a place for rest and refreshments, but also additional perks to help improve their everyday journeys.”
