What powers the Suzuki Raider?
The Suzuki Raider is powered by a 147.3 cc engine mated to a six-speed wet multi-plate transmission system. How many versions does the Suzuki Raider have?
The Suzuki Raider is offered in both carburetor-equipped and fuel-injected models.Per the motorcycle arm of the Japanese vehicle brand, its Suzuki Raider Big Ride Visayas initiative took passionate riders and owners of the iconic underbone motorcycle to Barangay Sag-ang, La Castellana.
To note, the Suzuki Raider is offered in both carburetor-equipped and fuel-injected models. Both motorcycles are fitted with a 147.3 cubic-centimeter (cc) engine mated to a six-speed wet multi-plate transmission system.
Producing some 18.23 horsepower (hp) is the liquid-cooled fuel-injected model, which also puts more torque at 13.8 Newton-meters (Nm). The carb-type variant makes 15.5 horses with 12.5 Nm of pulling power. While fuel-injected motorcycles are more fuel-efficient, SPI claims that both models clock in at 50 kilometers per liter (kpl).
After covering approximately 61 kilometers from Bacolod City, participants brought the spirit of SHARE — or Suzuki Helps, Aids, and Rebuilds — to locals through relief goods and potable water.
In addition, SPI hosted a free service campaign open to all Suzuki motorcycle owners at the town’s covered court in front of the Municipal Hall.
Recognizing the transportation challenges faced by the community due to ashfall, the motorcycle firm offered free check-ups, change oils, and fuel injector cleaning, as well as engine control module upgrades (for Suzuki Burgman Street and Avenis models).
For reference, both the Suzuki Burgman Street and Avenis small displacement scooters are fitted with 125 cc engines with Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha technology. Paired with a continuously variable transmission, these powerplants dish out some 8.5 hp with 10-10.2 Nm.
Efficiency figures range from 54.9 (Suzuki Avenis)-56.8 (Suzuki Burgman Street) kpl.
The said service campaign ran for two days and has catered to some 50 units in the area.
SPI’s latest campaign was done in partnership with the local municipality of La Castellana led by Mayor Rhummyla Mangilimutan, Department of Social Welfare and Development officers, and Brgy. Sag-ang officials.
“Thank you so much Suzuki Philippines for choosing La Castellana for your charity activity. Together, let's continue to move forward,” Mangilimutan said.
